Went for skiing. I have stayed in Beaver Creek many times, always up in the village area. That became so expensive, I decided to try staying in Avon. BC West Condos has a very convenient shuttle to the lower gondola at the Westin. I was out the door and on the mountain skiing in the Bachelor Gulch area in approximately 20 minutes, with no lines. The cost of staying in Avon is about 1/2 – 1/3 of staying on mountain, so well worth it. Avon has pretty much everything you need, including good restaurants. Our condo was dated and needed better lighting, but was clean and everything worked. The amount of space was good, and the beds were comfortable. We were able to make meals there without difficulty. There is a main office staffed with pleasant and helpful people. A nice library is a short walk, good for non-skiing family. Overall, if you are going for skiing, this would be an excellent choice.
