Terrific place at a great value Stayed 07/24/2009 - 07/26/2009 at Unit: D-4 I can't say enough about how great our stay at Beaver Creek West Condominiums was, we make an annual trip to the Vail valley for a soccer tournament every summer and are always looking for a great place at a great value. The location was perfect for us, right off the interstate, but not so close we could hear it, and easy access to all of the towns offerings as well as the bus line. While our visit was in the summer where the proximity to the ski resort was not our priority, I think it would be a great location for the winter users as well. The views were very pretty and we really appreciated the fact that we could see out of our unit in both directions and had views from both bedrooms as well as the common living area. We much appreciated the elevator to all floors for hauling belongings in and out and enjoyed a great afternoon in the heated pool and hot tubs as well as a little time in the sauna. Even though Nottingham Park is not an amenity of the complex (it might as well be) we loved having it right next door, not only did it make for beautiful scenery, but a great place to get out for a walk and other recreational activities without driving someplace. One of my favorite things was the reservation system, that I could look at photos and get descriptions and prices of a particular unit that was available for our dates and reserve that unit, and not be assigned one upon arrival with little idea of what you are going to get. We had two couples and a small child and the bedding/room configuration as well as type (child friendly) of furniture in the unit was important to us. There were so many options, with each unit being privately owned, some have been more recently renovated, or have higher end finishes and appliances, I really could pick exactly what I wanted. I also appreciated the flexibility during the summer season in minimum # of night stays. Since I did my reservations online, I did not deal with staff members directly, but later called and had all of my questions/concerns answered. Upon arrival the staff was very friendly and even made accomadations for us to have a little later checkout to meet our tournament schedule. And now for one of the most important parts to us was the price and what you got for the price, I shopped around for a couple weeks and this was by far the best deal we could find when it came to a multiple room condo or house for rent. There were no extra cleaning fees or any other surprise costs at checkout, which I found to be rare in my research. After we arrived it exceded my expectations as you don't always know what you are going to get when you get a "great deal" although being able to see photos of our exact unit eased my nerves a little about that issue beforehand. We were pleasantly surprised to find we had vaulted ceilings being on the top floor, everything was neat and clean and the kitchen was very well stocked for all of our needs. Our only complaint about the entire stay was that the units do not have air conditioning, which is common of most places in the area, and we happened to be staying during the hottest part of the summer, but the fact that we had doorways to both sides of our unit (entry and balcony) allowed us to create a breezeway and be very comfortable without it. I couldn't stop raving to the other families who stayed elsewhere how great our place was and how great of a deal it was compared to theirs. I am sure as long as we continue to make the trip for the annual soccer tournament as well as a few winter vacations, we will keep making reservations here as will several other friends and family members who we have so highly recommended it to. Overall it was a terrific place that met all of our expectations and then some. Just about everytime I am in that area, BCW is my choice of where to stay. Why? Convenience, comfort, and amenites all add up to the best value I have found in the Summit area. And what better place on the planet is there to ski? Initially we did not know what to expect - I had lived in Avon many years before and everything had really changed. But our first visit was so perfect, we always try and go back. The condo was very nice and clean and very convenient in that you could walk to the bus stop to get to the lifts. We had lots of fun enjoying the hot tub and pool. We even celebrated a birthday while there. The staff was always polite, professional and helpful. I feel the value for what you receive at BCW is excellent. Stayed 01/16/2009 - 01/19/2009 at Unit: 24 I have been coming out and staying at Beaver Creek West Condominiums for the past 4 years. Each time back, my expectations continually are fulfilled. The rooms are updated, spacious and are adorned with furniture that makes you feel welcome after a long day of skiing. Short walk to downtown Avon for drinks and dinner and close to access to ski gondola to Beaver Creek. My place to stay when visiting Beaver Creek to ski!!! The staff, facilities, and especially the location are perfect. Our family has enjoyed many wonderful times apres ski lounging around the pool and spas, preparing family meals, and playing board games in front of the cozy fireplace. I especially enjoy those chilly mornings after an overnight snowfall when the sun is just beginning to rise above the peaks and the snow begins to sparkle. I like to step out onto the deck with a hot cup of coffee and take in the beauty of the lake and mountains. Our children are grown now with their own careers and families, but one thing remains constant. When Mom and Dad are booking reservations at Beaver Creek West, they will always be included. Our Condo ( forgot the block #) was very well kept, cosy and made us feel at home. The views were fabulous from the living room. I also liked the bunker beds in the kids room. Outside the condo.. it was nice to be so close to the lake. We went for a stroll in the morning and enojoyed the views. Overall it was a great and memorable stay and we would love to go back. At the end of the 113 miles, they were thrilled to come home to our condo at Beaver Creek West. It was a perfect place to relax with our two families and let the runners recover. We had two small children with us, so it was wonderful to be near a park, pool, and tennis court. It's a great location for exploring Colorado, and we hope to get back someday during the winter months so we can try out the nearby slopes! The staff did a great job in matching our needs, price, and desires, to create a vacation worth repeating. They will be the first I call for lodging for my next trip. They would be under Gary Gavito Designs, or Indigo Sky Inc. I have to say without reservation myself and my staff have always been satisfied with all the units we have stayed in; to the degree we will only stay and prefer to stay at Beaver Creek West. We have in the past left rooms unoccupied, that have been paid for at other establishments to stay at Beaver Creek West. I have little room to describe these circumstances, I hope you get my meaning! Scott on 11/05/09 Beaver Creek West made the difference Stayed 02/10/2008 - 02/16/2008 at Unit: L4 From the moment my teen age daughter and I arrived at Beaver Creek West, we knew it would be a vacation like no other. We selected BCW for it's proximity to the mountain, the village and the amenities. We loved it for the extras that we didn't anticipate. Historically we have stayed in hotels, we chose BCW for the change of pace. The unit we selected had a recently renovated kitchen and a gas grill. Never before had I contemplated cooking on a ski vacation. This time was different, we found the local supermarket and went to town cooking and enjoying relaxing nights by the fire with home cooked meals. This of course followed the relaxation in the jacuzzi and pool with the families we met. The convenience of cooking and the ability to unwind in a spacious condo instead of the cramped hotel made the week incredible. Jake at the front desk and the staff took care of all of our needs and made the only challenge we experienced, connecting our laptops to the wireless system within the condo, a minor blip in the week. Prior to settling on BCW we had explored nine other communities in and around the mountain. All offered a place to stay, only BCW gave us a reason to come back, again, and again. Very comfortable mattresses, and newer decor. This condo allowed us to hit all the sweet slopes of VAil, Brekenridge and beaver creek with no hastle. Highly recommended and price was even better! Could not beat the price for a condo that had the living area, kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. Plus, since we were there for a week, the laundry is convenint. The town of Avon is small but enough places to go eat. It is close enough to Vail and Beaver Creek and we took day trips to Aspen, Leadville, etc. Definately want to come back. I have stayed with family including grandchildren and the infamous annual guy’s trip. I have been in at least 7 to 8 different units. Never was I disappointed. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and goes out of their way to ensure a great stay. I have stayed at numerous other properties in the Vail and Beaver Creek area and no other place can compare to the location and value received. All the units are clean, and extremely mountain cozy. I have and will continue to recommend Beaver Creek West to anyone who is looking for a great deal. I ski one trip with 8 "guys" for 8 days and none of us will consider any other property. I am a Beaver Creek West fan and I look forward every season to a few more stays at what feels like home! I can say without a doubt that Beaver Creek West is the best value lodging in town. Situated in Avon at the base of Beaver Creek it is simply the perfect location with quick access to skiing, shopping, as well as the airport. Every time we visit, the management staff is curtious, knowledgeable, and especially friendly. There has always been a welcoming gift presented with a genuine smile.
