Hiking

There are numerous hiking trails that twist and turn throughout the Vail Valley. Please be safe on your hiking adventure take the proper equipment (GPS, Water, Snack, Clothing, and Knowledge), know the weather forecast and plan your hike around mother nature, and have a plan for a problem. If you follow these steps there is unlimited exploration available in the Vail Valley.

Vail Lacrosse Shootout

The Vail Lacrosse Shootout was another great success in 2009 and we look forward to 2010! The 2010 Vail Lacrosse Shootout is scheduled for  June 26-July 4 at fields in Avon, Vail and Edwards.

Snow Cat/Hummer Tours

Nova Guides offers heated snowcoach tours during the winter months.  They run two tours per day one departing at 8:00 am and returning at 1:00 pm; the other departs at 1:30 pm and returns at 5:30 pm the cost and more information about the tours can be found at The NovaGuides Snowcoach Tours Website.

Nova Guides also offers Jeep and Hummer tours in the summer.

World Cup Ski Tour Events

The Birds of Prey race course at Beaver Creek is one of the top five race courses in the world.  It is the only venue in North America to hold a World Cup men's Downhill race.  Come check out this year's events!

Cross-country Skiing

McCoy Park offers cross country skiers with 30+ kilometers of groomed and rustic trails to explore, with spectacular views in every direction.  The park is groomed and tracked for both skating and diagonal skate skiing.  The trail system is basically beginner and intermediate, but has one advanced loop (the Wild Side trail, which is pretty exciting).

Mountain Biking

Discover the thrill of mountain biking in Beaver Creek. There are numerous trails for you to explore. Beaver Creek has mountain biking for every level. You can take your bike up the chairlift and cruise down a beginner, intermediate or expert trail. Road riding is also available in Vail Pass, Avon and Vail.
