McCoy Park offers cross country skiers with 30+ kilometers of groomed and rustic trails to explore, with spectacular views in every direction. The park is groomed and tracked for both skating and diagonal skate skiing. The trail system is basically beginner and intermediate, but has one advanced loop (the Wild Side trail, which is pretty exciting).

Beaver Creek is also a wonderful place to snowshoe. Explore the open terrain at your leisure or sign up for a guided nature tour through The Beaver Creek Nordic Sports Center (tel: 970-754-5313).

You can take your bike up the chairlift and cruise down a beginner, intermediate or expert trail. Road riding is also available in Vail Pass, Avon and Vail.

Kayaking is one of the most popular summer activities in Beaver Creek. With a handful of rivers and lakes in the vicinity, you have a wide variety of choices when it comes to choosing a section of water to float.
The Colorado Ski & Snowboard Museum and Hall of Fame is open every day, 10AM to 6PM.
The Museum is a private, non-profit organization that aims to preserve and appreciate the legacy of skiing and snowboarding in Colorado.
Players of all abilities can find a course suited to their experience level. From par 3 pitch-n-putts to championship courses designed by the masters, all of the courses in the Vail valley feature breathtaking panoramic mountain views.

Fly fishing in the area is one of the most amazing activities. Enjoy the scenery and serenity of the various rivers, creeks, lakes and streams to fish from.
Nova Guides offers a few different snowmobiling options to ensure you get the most out of your adventure with them. You can rent a personal snowmobile for everyone in your party, or you can double up and enjoy a little more togetherness. Once equipped with your sled you are free to roam.

There are numerous hiking trails that twist and turn throughout the Vail Valley. Please be safe on your hiking adventure take the proper equipment (GPS, Water, Snack, Clothing, and Knowledge), know the weather forecast and plan your hike around mother nature, and have a plan for a problem. If you follow these steps there is unlimited exploration available in the Vail Valley.

The Vail Lacrosse Shootout was another great success in 2009 and we look forward to 2010! The 2010 Vail Lacrosse Shootout is scheduled for June 26-July 4 at fields in Avon, Vail and Edwards.
